/

This month, Visto is dedicating a blog series to earning continuing education credits for NAAEI credentials. Over the next few weeks, you’ll learn important facts about CECs, the different ways you can earn them, and requirements for submitting documentation.

Continuing Education Credits (CECs) are required for all NAAEI credentials that require annual renewal

You worked hard and dedicated the time to earn a credential. Earning CECs displays your level of commitment to professional development and boosts your performance. In addition, you will gain insight into the latest information and trends impacting your role.

A Continuing Education Credit (CEC) is one contact hour or 50 minutes of education programming or instruction

Following is a list of NAAEI credentials offered through Visto that require CECs:

  • Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) 6 CECs annually
  • National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP) 3 CECs annually
  • Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS) 6 CECs annually
  • Certified Apartment Supervisor (CAS) 3 CECs annually

Individuals who hold multiple NAAEI credentials may use the same CECs for renewal of all credentials

As an example, did you know, if you have a CAM and NALP credential, you would only owe six (6) CECs annually?

This makes maintaining multiple credentials much easier and will, hopefully, motivate you to think about adding more designations to your business card.
